Lauren Rowe, a Year 9 Elite student, competed at the State Interschool Equestrian championships representing SIDE at the end of April.
This is the second time that Lauren has competed for SIDE in the Interschool championships.
This year, Lauren with her accomplished pony Earl (Charisma Royal Emblem), was awarded reserve champion elementary dressage combination and champion novice dressage combination.
Lauren’s second pony, new to competition performed extremely well also, exceeding all expectations.
Normally, competition horses and ponies are judged separately but in this competition Lauren's pony was competing against other ponies and big horses. Lauren also had to ride up an age group against Years 10, 11 and 12 on big horses. Lauren’s pony was the smallest in the class.
