SIDE students from across WA attended the History Teachers’ Association of Western Australia’s Student Seminar Day in May.
The seminar featured sessions for Year 11 and 12 WACE History students focussed on content and skills in the senior secondary curriculum. While the students participated in sessions, SIDE teacher Ros Keron, was presenting a session. The seminar was an excellent opportunity for SIDE students to participate in extension sessions and to meet other History students from other schools.
Regional students who were unable to attend the Fremantle seminar were also able to participate through an online streamed version. Both the face-to-face sessions and the online versions were enthusiastically welcomed by students.
