The West Australian Symphony Orchestra’s EChO (Education Chamber Orchestra) returns to SIDE
‘Captain Dynamics and the Supersonic Symphony’ was presented as part of WASO’s Regional Arts Program (ReAP). Four schools from the Pilbara Education Region joined EChO and presenter Libby Hammer for a wild ride around the orchestra, going behind the scenes to explore some elements of music.
Education Manager Fiona Taylor said, “We can’t thank the team at SIDE and Pilbara Education Regional Office enough for the opportunity to ‘travel’ to the Pilbara across the Video Conferencing platform. Staying connected with our audiences in this way is incredibly exciting for us, particularly with the support of the fantastic teachers in schools across the region.”
WASO will return to SIDE in December to present their Christmas Concert and Instrumental Masterclasses to IMSS students in Karratha and Tom Price.
ReAP will continue to grow into 2019 as WASO investigates new methods of delivery through SIDE to regions across the state.
