SIDE is proud to have an Olympic athlete as one of our Year 12 students. Swimmer Tamsin Cook has been selected to represent Australia in Rio in the 400m and 800m freestyle events. Tamsin's achievement is made even more remarkable by being the youngest member of the swimming team.
A busy life
Tamsin is described by her teachers as a capable, organised and self-motivated student. She has juggled an intense swimming training and travel program with an ATAR pathway. She is completing her secondary studies over three years in order to maximise her sporting opportunities whilst ensuring she attains academic success.
