Harry Perkins Medical Research: Students were offered the opportunity to step into the shoes of medical researchers, learning about innovative advancements in the field and engaging in fascinating activities on the future of medical research. The hands-on workshop captivated students as they worked collaboratively in a simulated laboratory to “find a cure.” This experience not only ignited a passion for science among the students but also broadened their horizons about potential career paths in the medical and healthcare industry.

Cabinetry: Nathan shared his knowledge of design and the importance of accuracy when working in the cabinetry industry as well the career opportunities in many trades areas. Students walked away with an understanding of the industry as well as a small take home project, using their artistic ideas as well as their wood crafting skills.

Hospitality: Interpersonal skills relevant to the hospitality industry including communication and teamwork were introduced by Bonnie. Students learned how to greet customers, deliver, and take orders as well as seeing the importance of being able to work in a team.

The Mini Industry Roadshow was a wonderful success and helped students explore different career paths and learn from industry professionals in a fun and exciting day of learning.
