SIDE moves into new Library Resource Centre

Students and staff have moved into the new Library Resource Centre building at SIDE. Provided by the Federal Government as part of the Building Education Revolution program, the library was completed in 2011. The SIDE library staff worked over the summer holidays to move books, DVDs, CDs and magazines into their new home in a purpose built Library Resource Centre in the middle of the SIDE Leederville Campus.

The new library is light filled physical space, with areas for secondary and primary students. Equipped with colourful and functional furniture, wireless access to the school's network, and information technology such as smart boards, laptops and iPads, the library has quickly become popular with students visiting SIDE. The library also has a new online presence through a Moodle site - Resource Centre Online, which includes student access to a range of online resources.

LRC student2There are students onsite every day at SIDE. The Building Education Revolution has provided an excellent facility for students and teachers to work together.
