SIDE will be delivering a new Specialist Music program to interested schools with a release date of Term 1 2025.
This innovative program has been designed to be engaging, fun and to equip students with the skills to play contemporary instruments. They will also collaborate with classmates to form a band.
Students have the option to learn the following instruments:
Bass guitar | Drums | Electric guitar | Keyboards
Fronting this program is music teacher and working musician Simon Bartlett. He has worked with student bands all over the state for over ten years. He is now excited to bring music to students and schools who may not have had access to the rich subject area.
Simon shares his experience as a working musician who has played in countless bands such as Josivac and College Fall. He has toured Australia, Europe and the UK, and recorded and produced music for over 20 years.
