SIDE’s travelling careers incursion, The Mini Industry Roadshow, had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Western Australian Wheatbelt recently and engaging with students from Kulin District High School, Quairading District High School, and Brookton District High School.
The workshops delved into various fields, enabling students to explore cutting-edge technologies and industries. Cabinetry in Schools introduced the students to the stunning artistry of woodwork while sneaking in some very important mathematics and history lessons that fascinated and inspired the students towards trades. Ricochet Circus shared insights into the intricacies of entrepreneurship, equipping students with valuable knowledge about how they could make a business out of their passions and dreams. Lastly, Harry Perkin's Institute of Medical Research shed light on the captivating field of bioengineering, inspiring students to explore a career in medical research and STEM through hands-on fun activities and many broken water balloons.
The Mini Industry Roadshow tour through the Wheatbelt region was a wonderful success and helped students explore different career paths and learn from actual industry professionals in a fun and engaging day.
