SIDE’s traveling careers incursion, the Mini Industry Roadshow, had the absolute pleasure of visiting the amazing Pilbara recently and engaging students from Roebourne District High School, Pannawonica School, and Onslow School.
Students delved into workshops on carpentry and cabinet making, rigging, and sound engineering. In these workshops trainers brought together a unique blend of industry expertise and hands-on experience directly to students.

Firstly, many many thanks to you and your team for coming up to Onslow for the mini roadshow. The three workshops were hands-on, relevant and engaging. The three trainers all interacted with the students, ensuring that everyone felt included and helped them get out of their comfort zone.
For two years in a row, the SIDE Mini Industry Roadshow has been a highlight of the year for our secondary students. Due to our remote location, we quite often miss out on these types of events and it was a pretty special feeling to have guests come all the way ‘just for us’ (as one student said!).
We hope to continue our partnership with the industry roadshow from SIDE into 2024 and beyond.
