Successful students are awarded a notional ATAR of 70.

Note: To ensure students are well prepared for tertiary studies, the SCSA Board has decided that from 2027 onwards, students who wish to complete UniReady and receive unit equivalents towards their WACE must undertake at least one Year 12 ATAR course. Current Year 10 students (in 2025) should take this requirement into account when choosing their courses. It is also recommended that students planning to study a Year 12 ATAR course consider enrolling in ATAR course/s in Year 11 (in 2026) to support their preparation.

Course Content Description:

The UniReady Enabling Program is an academic program designed to prepare students for successful entry into higher education. With a focus on enhancing academic literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills, as well as understanding discipline-specific concepts, this program offers a pathway into university by building a strong foundation for a students future academic and career pursuits.

In Year 12 students select one elective each semester.

Semester 1 electives:

Introduction to Humanities(HUMN0001) OR Mathematics Basics(MATH0003)

Semester 2 electives:

Introduction to Commerce(MGMT0001) OR Introduction to Health Science(BIOL0001)
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Fundamentals of Academic Writing (PWRP0001) AND Foundations of Communication (COMS0002)
Mode of Delivery: Live lessons which are compulsory for students to attend. Blackboard which is Curtin University’s online learning management system.
Textbooks / Stationery: Refer to the Booklist - Personal Items and Resource List
External Examination: Yes for some units
