- The concepts of urbanisation, world population growth, liveability and sustainability.
- An investigation of urban challenges in Perth W.A. e.g. transportation, urban sprawl.
- A depth study of urban challenges in the megacity of New York e.g. transportation and housing.
- Geographic skills development using maps, graphs, diagrams and data.
