Course Content Description:

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are developing the basic creative and technical skills that underpin visual arts and craft practices. It applies to work in different visual arts, craft and design environments.

The course comprises the following 9 units of competency:

CUARES202 Source and use information relevant to own arts practice

BSBWHS211 Contribute to health and safety of others

CUADES201 Follow a design process

BSBCRT201 Develop and apply thinking and problem solving skills

CUAACD201 Develop drawing skills to communicate ideas

CUADRA201 Develop drawing skills

CUAPPR211 Make simple creative work

CUAPPR203 Store finished creative work

CUAPAI211 Develop painting skills

Recommended Background: This course is designed for students who wish to explore the field of visual arts and develop their painting, drawing and design skills.
