Course Content Description:

A1MAM

In this unit, students

  • build on algebraic concepts of function and graphs
  • review fundamentals of probability and are introduced to conditional probability and independence
  • study radian measure and trig functions from the Unit Circle, right and non-right triangles.

A2MAM

In this unit, students

  • are introduced to exponential functions, arithmetic and geometric sequences
  • study rates of change and the derivative and learn techniques of differentiation
  • apply differentiation to sketch curves, calculate slopes and tangents to curves, solve application and optimisation problems
Recommended Background: B grade or higher in Year 10 Mathematics
