We are delighted to share the exciting news that current Year 12 SIDE student, Jillian, from Norseman in Ngadju Country, and former Year 11 Pannawonica-based SIDE student, Sammy, from Ardyaloon (also known as One Arm Point) in Bawa Jawi Country, have just been announced as 2025 ABC Heywire Winners!
Jillian and Sammy are the recipients of an all-expenses paid trip to the ABC Heywire Summit in Canberra in early February 2025 to represent their community and the state of Western Australia.
In 2025, the 38 ABC Heywire National Storytelling Winners will spend a very busy week working together, as emerging youth leaders, to workshop and develop solutions for the challenges facing our youth in rural, regional and remote Australia.
