SIDE’S travelling careers incursion, The Mini Industry Roadshow, had the absolute delight of visiting the Western Australian Southwest region in Term 4 2023.
The program engaged the students from Boyup Brook District High School, Nannup District High School, Northcliffe District High School, and Pemberton District High School in hands-on practical skills training.
The workshops delved into various fields, enabling students to explore innovative technologies and industries. Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research who are leading the way and dedicated to tackling some of the world’s biggest health issues shared and inspired students to explore a career in medical research and STEM through firsthand fun activities. Ricochet Circus shared insights into entrepreneurship, sharing the intricacies of setting up a business out of their passions and dreams. The students were captivated by Carpentry-in-schools, as they had a wonderful time building and creating with wood, a wonderful hands-on experience.
The Mini Industry Roadshow through the Southwest region was an extraordinarily successful set of workshops with students learning and exploring career pathways from actual industry professionals in a fun and exciting day of learning.
