The Mini Industry Roadshow, SIDE’s traveling careers program made a wonderful journey through the stunning Pilbara.

The program had the honour of visiting both Jigalong Remote Community School and Tom Price Senior High School.

With SIDE’s ongoing commitment to providing quality services to all schools in Western Australia and the support of The Department of Training and Workforce Development, we were able to provide the students with 3 amazing hands-on skills training workshops with industry professional in the fields of carpentry and cabinet making, rigging for mining and performance, and medical research.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your colleagues for coming out again, visiting us and spending a day with our students. They have enjoyed it thoroughly and they have gained so much out of it.

I wanted to commend you on your professionalism and punctuality – everything was well planned and executed, the timeline and schedule were honoured and I was impressed with how well your guys interact with our students and make them feel comfortable and willing to participate. Activities were educational and fun, engaging and appropriately tailored to our students' academic and skill levels, so everyone could participate and learn.

Once again, well done to you and your team and I am hoping we will be able to host you in our school next year again.

Kind regards,
Principal
Jigalong RCS
