SIDE’s travelling careers incursion, The Mini Industry Roadshow, had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Western Australian Southwest region in Term 4 2023 to engage the students from Boddington District High School, Gnowangerup District High School, and Jerramungup District High School in hands-on practical skills training.
The workshops delved into various fields, enabling students to explore cutting-edge technologies and industries. Stemsmart introduced the students to the exciting and diverse career field of robotics through the exploration of drone piloting and virtual reality technologies and their impact on careers of the future. Ricochet Circus shared insights into the intricacies of entrepreneurship, equipping students with valuable knowledge about how they could make a business out of their passions and dreams. Lastly, Harry Perkin's Institute of Medical Research shed light on the captivating field of bioengineering, inspiring students to explore a career in medical research and STEM through hands-on fun activities.
The Mini Industry Roadshow tour through the Southwest region was a wonderful success and helped students explore different career paths and learn from actual industry professionals in a fun and exciting day of learning.
