Media Production and Analysis Year 12 General

Course Content Description:

This is primarily a production based course (60%), providing students with the skills knowledge and understanding to tell their own stories and interpret others. The course focuses on the development of technical skills in the practical process.

G3MPA Entertainment

Within this broad focus, students create their own entertainment media.

Students will expand their understanding of media construction by viewing, listening and interacting with media work relevant to their areas of interest. They generate ideas and learn production skills and processes as they apply this knowledge and creativity in their productions.

Short film/TV show for mass audience – select your own genre

G4MPA Representation and Reality

The focus of this unit is on representations and how they relate to the construction of reality within media work.

Students have the opportunity to choose from a range of media genres and styles when examining techniques used to re-present reality and engage and inform audiences. Students continue to develop production skills and responsibilities through creating their own media work.
