Course Content Description:

A3HEA

In this unit, students

  • develop their knowledge of the health of specific populations
  • examine factors that create health disparities
  • develop their knowledge of strategies to reduce health inequities
  • use health inquiry skills to complete research on health issues
  • interpret information and present findings in an appropriate format

A4HEA

In this unit, students

  • develop their knowledge of local, regional and global challenges to health
  • examine what determines health inequities
  • develop their knowledge of ways to improve health outcomes for people
  • examine international health agencies and initiatives to improve health
  • refine investigative skills.
Recommended Background: B grade or higher in Year 11 ATAR Health Studies
