Students enrolling in the Temporary Travel category must be Western Australian residents who are temporarily unable to attend a mainstream school because they will soon commence travel within Australia or overseas.
Travel and hence enrolment at SIDE, must be for a minimum of at least 20 school weeks or one Western Australian school semester.
Temporary travel may be required due to a parent’s/carer’s work commitments or an extended family holiday. Enrolment at SIDE is only valid for the duration of the student’s temporary travel; once travel ends, the student must recommence enrolment at another education provider.
