During the Centenary last year there was a lot of interest from former students in what is happening at SIDE now and their former teachers and classmates. We have created this new section to share some of our graduates' stories.

Chakris Srisuwan attended SIDE from K to Year 10 in the 2000s as an overseas student. They returned to Western Australia for senior secondary schooling at a metropolitan senior high school.

Janelle Cuthbertson (2006-2008) attended SIDE for Years 11 and 12 while pursuing a tennis career. SIDE allowed her to balance her senior schooling over three years and to continue her training and travelling to tournaments.

Mattea Taylor graduated from SIDE with WACE in 2010. Mattea completed all her primary school through Kimberley School of the Air and all high school through SIDE. Now she is a PhD student at University of Newcastle.

Jared Fitzclarence studied for four years with SIDE while living in the Kimberley region, successfully completing Year 12 in 2005. He was an inspiring guest speaker at the SIDE Year 12 Leavers’ Ceremony this year.

Nina Catovic enrolled at SIDE as an elite athlete in 2010 in order to combine her tennis training and tournament commitments with her senior school studies.

Joshua finished high school with SIDE subjects in 2000. Now, he is a doctor.

Monica Viviani attended SIDE Primary for Years 1-3 from 2002 to 2004. Her father was a metallurgist working in a gold mine called Chatree, which was located in in a small rural town called Taphan Hin in Phichit, four hours by train from Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand.

Rebecca Henggeler whose family live on Kachana Station in the Kimberley completed her schooling through distance education, first at the Kimberley School of the Air, and then as a SIDE student for five years of secondary schooling.
