SIDE continued to provide a range of resources to support student learning including regular television programs delivered weekly by the Languages teachers.

The Languages teachers at SIDE taught whole classes in rural primary schools as well as individual home-based students. Every week teachers developed and presented materials in French, Indonesian, Italian and Japanese. Each program lasted 30 to 45 minutes and followed the curriculum topics. Students had an opportunity to phone in to the show, speak in the language being taught, and participate in games and activities. This image is from the Japanese program, Ogenki de.
