Course Content Description:

G3GEO

The unit focuses on natural and ecological hazards and risk management including:

  • The concepts of hazard geography and risk management
  • A depth study of natural hazards - earthquakes e.g. Nepal
  • An investigation of ecological hazards - tropical diseases e.g. Malaria
  • Geographic skills development using maps, graphs, diagrams and data.

G4GEO

The unit focuses on global networks and interconnections including:

  • The concepts of international integration and transformation
  • A depth study of commodity, good or service - automobiles
  • An investigation of the diffusion, adoption and adaptation of sport globally
  • Geographic skills development using maps, graphs, diagrams and data.
