In this unit, students:
- focus on a number of concepts that enable them to gain an understanding of how and why people behave the way they do
- explore concepts relating to one’s self including personality and cognition
- explore concepts relating to others, including an understanding of the different types of relationships; examine the development of relationships during adolescence; and understand the features of effective communication and non-verbal communication
- examine ethics of psychological research, plan, conduct process and evaluate investigations, following the steps of scientific research
G2PSY
In this unit, students:
- focus on a number of concepts that enable them to gain an understanding of how and why people behave the way they do
- explore concepts relating to one’s self, including an understanding of developmental psychology across the human life span
- explore concepts relating to others, including an understanding of social psychology, culture and values
- further explore psychological research methods introduced in unit 1
