Course Content Description:	A1VAR The focus for this unit is Differences. Students will: Explore approaches to drawing and documenting ideas Develop an understanding of visual language Research visual artists and develop a case study based on an artist of choice Develop an awareness of styles of representation before creating a stylistic artwork of their own A2VAR The focus for this unit is Identities. Students will: Explore and develop ideas and media associated with the concept of identity Develop understanding of visual language, personal response and interpretation in their written responses Research visual artists and develop a case study based on an artist of choice Develop a personal approach to express personal, social or cultural identity in the form of a unique artwork
Recommended Background:	C grade or higher in Year 10 Art and English
