Course Content Description:

Materials Design and Technology General course focuses on the design and manufacture of products, with wood as one of the main material options. Students gain hands-on skills in manipulating, processing, and manufacturing wood while developing problem-solving, creative design, and communication abilities. They explore the social, cultural, and environmental impacts of material use, preparing for further study, vocational training, or employment in design, manufacturing, and related industries. The course fosters technological literacy and informed decision-making about materials, supporting both practical craftsmanship and lifelong learning in a materials-based world.
