Do you want to find out more about SIDE and the online learning tools you will use?
In Term 4, SIDE is offering several ways to find out more about the school and online learning to assist students and their families in the transition to distance education.
SIDE uses two main online learning tools:
- Webex, an online classroom where teaching and learning occurs in real time. In the classroom the SIDE teacher is the host and students are the participants.
- Moodle, a learning management system in which every SIDE course has a 24/7 virtual classroom where students engage with learning materials and activities, upload work, and interact with their teachers.
Webex Induction Program (Online for School-based students)
Following a successful 2019 induction program, school-based students have the opportunity to experience online learning and become familiar with SIDE processes, to assist with a smooth transition to online education. The focus is on Webex and the participation tools.
Home-based students, who are new to SIDE, may request participation in this program.
Commencing 18 November 2019.
Orientation Program (SIDE Leederville for home-based students)
