Curriculum Overview

Broad, balanced, flexible. The curriculum at SIDE offers a range of options for the School's diverse population. Full time home based students can access a comprehensive programme from Year 8-12. Part time students can select from hundreds of courses to enhance the programme on offer at their base school.

The Upper Secondary curriculum has recently been redeveloped to reflect the major changes in this area. Working in partnership with WestOne Services experienced teachers have written modern and engaging courses that meet the requirements of the Curriculum Council

The Lower Secondary curriculum is at the beginning of redevelopment. New courses will be developed as the Australian (National) Curriculum programmes are finalised by ACARA. Work has already commenced on the Phase One subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, History) with some new courses to be implemented in 2012
